Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Telecommunication Wing of Haryana Police, run from the office of the Superintendent of Police, Telecommunication, Panchkula, is engaging Special Police Officers (SPOs) under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007. This round is only for people who have already served in uniform: ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and former Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF) and Haryana Armed Police (HAP) battalions.

Because this is the telecom wing, experience with telecommunication equipment counts — candidates who served in the Signal Corps of the Armed Forces or CAPFs get preference. It is a one-year engagement on a fixed honorarium, not a regular police job, and there is no written or physical test.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Service record: You must not have been removed or dismissed from the Armed Forces or CAPFs for indiscipline, misconduct or medical unfitness. Ex-servicemen need at least five years of service.
• Discharge papers: Your medical category at discharge must be 'A' and your character certificate must read 'Exemplary' or 'Outstanding'.
• Before the appointment letter: You will be medically examined, and the wing will get your character and antecedents verified by your district police. Every certificate you claim in the form is checked with the issuing authority.
• Training: Selected SPOs attend a 15-day capsule course to get used to police department work.
• Tenure: The engagement lasts one year or until regular appointments are made, whichever comes first.
• Posting: You will not be posted at your home police station, though your home district gets preference where posts are free. In emergencies you can be sent anywhere in Haryana for short spells.
• Pay and leave: The honorarium goes straight into your bank account, never in cash, and casual leave follows the rules for Haryana Police Constables.
• Termination: The SP Telecommunication can end the engagement at any time, without notice, for indiscipline, misconduct, poor performance or when SPOs are no longer needed — and no appeal lies to a higher officer.

Application Submission Notes

There is no online form. You have to appear in person at the District Police Control Room of your own district on the date fixed in the press release, carrying the filled application form, the affidavit, all original documents, one set of attested photocopies and four passport-size colour photographs. The form and affidavit formats are printed at the end of the same PDF.

Incomplete applications are turned away, nothing is accepted after your district's date, and no TA/DA is paid for attending.
