Post-wise Duties

GIS Expert

You will use satellite images, aerial photographs and field survey data to prepare maps and keep spatial records current. The work includes checking forest boundaries, mapping land parcels and encroachments, and recording tree species and biodiversity features.

Your outputs will include orthophotos, digital elevation models and survey drawings. You will also identify areas suitable for plantation or ecological restoration, study forest-fire patterns using satellite data, and check the quality of mapping and survey outputs before they are used.

CSR Manager / CSR Programme Manager

You will build CSR partnerships and coordinate projects with companies, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders. Preparing proposals, concept notes and project reports is part of the work, along with keeping project records and tracking how CSR funds are used.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Both engagements run for 11 months. An extension depends on the park's needs and satisfactory performance.
• Appointment status: The contracts do not create a right to a regular post in the Forest Department or another government establishment.
• Field assignments: The GIS role includes office and field duties within SGNP and in other areas directed by the authority.
• Travel costs: The GIS notice provides no travel or daily allowance for attending an interview or joining.
• Continuation: Performance can affect extension or termination. You should treat the stated contract period and any later extension as separate decisions.
