Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, is hiring a Clinical Trial Coordinator for its Department of Nephrology. The contract supports the Losartan study led by Dr Sabarinath S, Assistant Professor.

The randomised controlled trial examines whether Losartan can slow kidney-disease progression in people with moderate to advanced chronic kidney disease. Your appointment belongs to this study, with continuation linked to the project rather than a regular institute post.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The appointment runs for twelve months. It may be extended for the full project duration, but an extension is not automatic.
• Project-only engagement: This is a temporary contractual position. It does not give you a claim to a regular JIPMER appointment or continued work on another project.
• Full-time commitment: You cannot take another assignment while holding this position. The restriction applies to both paid and unpaid work during your appointment.
• Ending the appointment: The institute can end the appointment with one month's notice without giving a reason, or if the competent authority considers your work unsatisfactory.
• Resignation: If you leave, you must serve one month's notice or pay salary for the part of that notice period you do not serve.
• Travel costs: JIPMER does not provide travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. You will need to arrange your own travel.
• Conduct: Trying to influence the recruitment through canvassing will disqualify you.
