DHFWS Purba Bardhaman Multi Rehabilitation Worker Recruitment 2026: Overview

The District Health and Family Welfare Samity (DHFWS), Purba Bardhaman, run from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, is hiring Multi Rehabilitation Workers for the district's Rural Hospitals and Block Primary Health Centres (BPHCs). The posts fall under the National Programme for Health Care of the Elderly (NPHCE), so most of your work will be physiotherapy and rehabilitation support for older patients at the block level. This is a contractual engagement ordered by the Mission Director, NHM, West Bengal, and it is meant for physiotherapy graduates who already have hospital experience.

This round replaces an earlier advertisement from December 2025, which the district has cancelled. If you applied to that older notice, you need to apply again under this one.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Residence: You must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Language: You must be able to read, write and speak Bengali.
• Hospital experience: Only experience gained after your physiotherapy degree counts, up to the last date of the online application. Government hospital experience earns more marks than private experience.
• Experience certificate: It must show the post name, employer's name, your name, and the dates of joining and leaving. An appointment letter alone is not accepted as proof of experience. For private-sector experience, the committee may also ask for salary statements.
• Qualifications: Your degree must be complete on or before the last date of the online application.
• Marks: Marks are counted without additional subjects and are not rounded off; proportionate marking goes up to two decimal places.
• All stages are compulsory: If you skip any stage of the selection, you are disqualified without further notice.
• Contract length: The first engagement runs up to March 2027 and may be renewed on satisfactory performance and approval from the higher authority.

After applying, download your form from the portal's Application Print option and keep it safe; you do not need to post it, but you will not be allowed into document verification without it.

If the portal shows a "Duplicate Registration!" message because you applied for this post before, type your first name twice in the First Name field on the first page of the form. The office corrects this during document verification.

Bring the NEFT deposit copy with the UTR number, or the receipt or screenshot of your online payment, along with the printed form when you are called for verification. The provisional list and verification notice will be posted on purbabardhaman.nic.in and wbhealth.gov.in.
