Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) is recruiting officers on deputation for administrative, consumer assistance, personnel and accounts work in New Delhi. Posts and Disciplines

Post-wise Duties

Secretary

You will oversee administration and regulatory coordination as the principal officer and Head of Department. You will also act as the nodal officer for institutional affairs.

Joint Secretary

You will help coordinate administrative work and regulatory support. Your role also covers the Commission’s institutional functions.

Deputy Director Consumer Assistance

You will handle consumer assistance and power-sector end-user issues. Consumer communication is a central part of this role.

Personnel Officer

You will handle personnel administration and service matters. The work also includes the Commission’s employee-related functions.

Assistant Accounts Officer

You will support accounts operations and financial records. The role includes computer-based accounting support for the Commission.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: Deputation begins for a period of up to three years. DERC may extend or renew it up to a maximum of six years.
• Extension conditions: Continued engagement depends on the Commission’s decision, your performance appraisal and agreement from your parent department. An extension is not automatic.
• Governing terms: DERC’s human-resource regulations and the applicable Department of Personnel and Training deputation instructions govern the appointment, including later amendments.
• Vacancy changes: DERC can change the notified vacancies, leave posts unfilled or withdraw the recruitment. The advertised opening does not guarantee an appointment.
• Conduct: Canvassing can disqualify you. The Commission also states that it will not entertain correspondence from applicants.
• Training: Officers may have opportunities to attend training programmes, conferences, professional seminars and study tours in India and abroad.
