AUD Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026: Overview

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD), a state university set up by the Government of NCT of Delhi, is filling eight different non-teaching posts through one advertisement, from entry-level Junior Assistant right up to Internal Audit Officer. Six of the posts are regular direct-recruitment jobs, while the audit and IT posts are open only to serving officers on deputation. Some Section Officer, Senior Assistant and Sports Coach seats are being re-advertised because they went unfilled in an earlier round. Most of the openings are clerical Junior Assistant jobs, so this drive suits Class 12 pass candidates who can type quickly as much as experienced office staff.

Posts and Disciplines

• Internal Audit Officer (deputation): a finance and audit role for officers already handling audit or accounts in a government department, autonomous body or PSU.
• System Administrator (IT) (deputation): looks after the university network and software installations; a Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Sun or Red Hat certification is part of the essential qualification, and hands-on IIS, Linux-Apache, intrusion protection or university ERP work counts in your favour.
• Section Officer: a supervisory office post in HR and general administration, with preference for finance and accounts profiles and for secretarial candidates who know English shorthand.
• Senior Assistant: an experienced office-staff post covering HR and administration, finance and accounts, or secretarial support to a senior officer.
• Staff Nurse: for registered nurses holding a B.Sc (Hons) Nursing degree with some hospital experience.
• Sports Coach (Female): open only to women with a physical education degree and a sports coaching diploma; coaching at national or international level in two games is preferred.
• Junior Library Assistant: library support work for library science graduates, ideally with experience of library software.
• Junior Assistant / Junior Assistant cum Caretaker: entry-level clerical posts; the Caretaker variant also needs an ITI trade certificate in Civil or Plumbing.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• PwBD reservation: one Section Officer post, one Senior Assistant post and three Junior Assistant posts (one each for orthopaedic, visual and hearing disability) are reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities on a horizontal basis. The PwBD benefit applies only with at least 40% disability.
• Deputation terms: the first deputation term is one year, extendable after a performance review under DoPT deputation rules. Departmental staff in the direct promotion line for these posts cannot apply on deputation.
• Serving employees: if you work in a government body, autonomous body or PSU, you must give a No Objection Certificate from your employer by the test or interview stage.
• Shortlisting: meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee a call; AUD may shortlist on higher qualifications or experience when applications are large.
• Computer skills: working knowledge of computers and good communication skills are mandatory for every post, and the university may test them during selection.
• Tentative posts: the advertised numbers can go up or down, and AUD may leave a vacancy unfilled.
• OBC status: only castes on the Central List for Delhi or notified by the Delhi OBC Commission qualify for OBC reservation.
• Jurisdiction: any legal dispute falls under the High Court of Delhi.
