TTD Civil Assistant Surgeon Recruitment 2026: Overview

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the temple trust that runs the Sri Venkateswara shrine and a network of hospitals and welfare institutions around Tirupati, is recruiting Civil Assistant Surgeons through Notification No. 01/2026. These are doctor posts on the Revised Pay Scales 2022, filled under Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules.

The standout feature is how you get selected: there is no written exam and no interview. TTD ranks applicants on a 100-point merit score built from MBBS marks, years since internship and contract service already done for the government — so doctors who have worked on contract in AP government or TTD hospitals get a real edge. MBBS graduates with an MD or MS are given preference.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Religion: You must profess the Hindu religion — this is a condition of every TTD appointment.
• Domicile: Only candidates who belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh can apply. Local status is proved through study certificates from Class 4 to Class 10, or a residence certificate from the MRO if you studied privately.
• Reservation: Community certificates must be issued by Andhra Pradesh authorities; central OBC certificates are not accepted. The BC-E slot is not being filled in this cycle.
• S.V. Poor Home posting: Doctors placed at the S.V. Poor Home also need a certificate course in Leprosy on top of the MBBS.
• Residence: If selected, you must live at the headquarters of your posting.
• Private practice: Strictly prohibited for selected doctors.
• No waiting list: Unfilled or non-joining vacancies are carried forward to the next cycle, not offered to the next person on the list.
• Cancellation: TTD can cancel the notification or postpone selection without notice; the fee is not refunded.

Applications are accepted only through the online portal on tirumala.org — paper forms are not entertained. After paying the fee online, do not press Back or Refresh, or you risk being charged twice; a final registration number appears once the payment succeeds.

If you are claiming contract-service weightage, get the Annexure-I certificate signed by your controlling officer (DM&HO, DCHS or TTD) before you start the form.
