Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: You begin with a one-year engagement. SAIL may grant two further one-year extensions based on satisfactory performance and its requirements.
• Renewal: The maximum period under the engagement is three years, although the notice does not prohibit re-engagement. Performance reviews can lead to a shorter tenure or an extension.
• Appointment status: The engagement is temporary and creates no right to a regular appointment. Only benefits specifically provided in the notice apply.
• Working arrangement: The stated monthly rates use a six-hour working day and six-day week. Rates may be adjusted proportionately if the daily engagement is shorter or longer.
• Event requirements: During sporting events or emergencies, you may need to work beyond your assigned hours. The notice excludes extra payment or benefits for those additional event-related hours.
• Company assets: You are responsible for proper use of company assets, training equipment and kits provided for your engagement.
• Leave: You can receive ten days of leave each year with prior approval. Arrange leave with the company rather than treating it as an unrestricted absence entitlement.
• Reservation: The applicable Presidential directives for appointments in public enterprises will be followed.
• Ending the engagement: Either side can end it with one month's notice. The company may end it immediately for the specified fitness, performance, misconduct or legal grounds.
• Recruitment discretion: DSP can reject an application, cancel the recruitment or engage fewer coaches than advertised. Incorrect information can lead to rejection even after selection.
• Interview travel: You must meet your own travel costs for attending the walk-in. Any dispute relating to the engagement falls under Durgapur jurisdiction.

Report to Centre for L&D, Durgapur Steel Plant, Durgapur-713203, West Bengal between 10.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. for the walk-in. Use the notice's Annexure-A application format, completed in capital letters; the plant will not accept a different application format.
