IIT BHU Project Research Scientist I Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi (IIT BHU) is recruiting a Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for its Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology. The appointment belongs to an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded study on mitochondrial mechanisms and brain-targeted pharmacotherapy for alcohol use disorder. You would join a project team led by Prof. Sairam Krishnamurthy in Varanasi.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project appointment: This is a temporary research engagement tied to the funded study. Your appointment ends with the project rather than continuing as an institute post.
• Initial term: The first contract is for one year. Renewal depends on both your performance and the project's needs, within its total three-year duration.
