Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is hiring Assistant Engineers in Civil and Electrical Engineering for its Gandhinagar campus. These contractual roles support campus engineering activities under the guidance of the Director and Registrar.

Posts and Disciplines

• Assistant Engineer (Civil): This role covers the civil engineering side of campus works, including planned projects and existing facilities.
• Assistant Engineer (Electrical): This role covers electrical engineering aspects of university operations and campus projects.

Post-wise Duties

Assistant Engineer (Civil)

You will help plan and oversee civil engineering works, assess sites and advise university staff on technical matters. Your work includes feasibility studies, coordination with other professionals and reports that explain project needs, budgets and timelines.

Assistant Engineer (Electrical)

You will handle the electrical engineering aspects of campus works, inspect proposed works and guide project delivery. You will also advise on suitable equipment and help coordinate staff and professionals so projects meet the university’s standards.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract: The appointment lasts 364 days. It carries no right to renewal, extension or conversion to a permanent post. Your contract ends on the expiry date in the appointment letter.
• Workplace: You must work at GNLU, Gandhinagar. This recruitment is for campus engineering work at that location.
• Shift roster: You must be ready for rotating shifts, including weekends, university holidays, late-night duties and overnight work. Duty times will follow the university’s roster.
• Time off: You receive one weekly day off on a rotational basis under the roster and applicable rules. One day of casual leave is available for each completed month of duty.
• Joining: If selected, you will be expected to join as early as possible after the results are announced.
• University discretion: GNLU may decide not to fill a position or may make an appointment on revised terms. The number of positions can change according to its needs.

The walk-in reporting time is 10:30 a.m. at Gujarat National Law University, Attalika Avenue, Knowledge Corridor, Koba, Gandhinagar. The university will not consider anyone arriving after that reporting time.
