CURAJ Project Staff (SRF/JRF) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is filling one Project Staff position at the Senior Research Fellow (SRF) or Junior Research Fellow (JRF) level in its Department of Biochemistry at the Bandarsindri campus near Kishangarh, Ajmer. The post sits in a three-year research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) and led by Dr. Vishvanath Tiwari. The university will take an SRF first and will consider a JRF only if no suitable SRF candidate turns up. This is a project-linked contractual post, not a regular university job.

About the research project

The project is titled "Development of bacteriophage tail protein-based therapeutics targeting carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii and its biofilm". In simple words, the team is looking for new treatments, built from parts of bacteria-killing viruses, against a hospital germ that ordinary antibiotics no longer stop.

The notice says hands-on experience in gene cloning and expression, drug designing, molecular biology and animal cell culture is desirable. Service Conditions and Caveats

• SRF preference: Preference goes to an SRF candidate if one is found suitable; the JRF level is a fallback.
• SRF experience: To be considered as SRF you need two years of research experience on top of the master's degree.
• Tenure: The project runs for three years (2026 to 2029) and the appointment is purely temporary, as per ANRF and university rules.
• Yearly renewal: You are first appointed for one year; renewal each year depends on your performance.
• Co-terminus: The post ends when the project ends.
• Accommodation: Bachelor accommodation on campus may be provided on payment, subject to availability.
• Interview travel: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
