ANGRAU Teaching Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) is looking for a Teaching Associate for the Department of Agricultural Extension at its Agricultural College, Pulivendula in the YSR district of Andhra Pradesh. This is a purely temporary, contract engagement filled through a walk-in interview, so there is no online form and no written test to prepare for.

The college needs someone who can step in and support teaching in the extension department until a regular faculty post is filled. If you hold a postgraduate degree or a Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension and already have some teaching or research exposure, this is a quick way to get university-level teaching experience at ANGRAU.

The pay depends on your highest degree: Ph.D. holders get a higher monthly amount than Master's degree holders, and both get HRA at the Andhra Pradesh State Government rates that apply to Pulivendula.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement ends automatically after 11 months, or earlier if the university fills the post with regular staff.
• No claim to a regular job: You cannot later claim a regular appointment at ANGRAU or any government body, and you have no right to an extension of the contract.
• Termination: The university can end the contract at any time without notice or reasons.
• Leaving early: You can resign by giving one month's notice, or pay one month's salary instead.
• Medical fitness: The selected candidate must clear a medical examination at their own cost before joining.
• NET rule: If your postgraduate degree is in a Basic Science with a 3-year Bachelor's and 2-year Master's, you must also have cleared NET.
• Research paper: You need at least one paper in an SCI journal or a NAAS-rated journal above 4.0.
• Conduct: Hiding facts or canvassing in any form leads to disqualification, even after you join.
• Travel costs: No TA or DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Postponement: The Associate Dean can cancel or postpone the interview if unavoidable circumstances arise.
