Who Can Apply?
For Junior Assistant Posts
- Qualification: You need a graduation degree from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the government.
- Language: You need good knowledge of Hindi and English.
- Hindi typing: You need Hindi typing on computer at 25 words per minute.
- English typing preference: Preference will be given if you can type English on computer at 30 words per minute.
- Computer knowledge: You need enough knowledge to operate a computer for office work.
For Stenographer Grade-I / Personal Assistant Posts
- Qualification: You need a graduation degree from a recognised university or equivalent qualification.
- Language: You need good knowledge of Hindi and English.
- Hindi shorthand and typing: You need Hindi shorthand at 80 words per minute and Hindi typing on computer at 25 words per minute.
- English shorthand and typing preference: Preference will be given if you have English shorthand at 80 words per minute and English typing on computer at 35 words per minute.
- Computer knowledge: You need good working knowledge of computer operation.
Age Limit
- You should be between 21 and 35 years old.

Selection Process
The selection will be done through a written competitive examination followed by typing or shorthand-related tests where required. The written exam date mentioned in the notice is 23 August 2026.
- Written Exam: Objective-type multiple-choice paper of 140 marks for 2 hours 30 minutes. The paper will include questions from general knowledge and general studies.

- Handle court files, registers, and daily office records as assigned
- Prepare, type, and process official letters, orders, notices, and case-related documents
- Assist court officers with correspondence, data entry, and document movement
- Maintain computer-based records and support routine office work in district courts
- Take dictation, prepare shorthand notes, and type transcripts where the post requires it
- Follow court office rules, confidentiality requirements, and reporting instructions
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Graduation degree from a recognised university or equivalent; Hindi and English knowledge; Hindi typing or shorthand skills as required for the post; computer operation knowledge
Preferred Qualification
English typing at 30 wpm for Junior Assistant; English shorthand at 80 wpm and English typing at 35 wpm for Stenographer Grade-I / Personal Assistant will get preference.
