About This Job

Tezpur University Project Staff Recruitment 2026 - 6 Posts

Tezpur University, a Central University in Assam, has issued Memo No. DoRD/LLT/AG/20-636/123-A dated 4 June 2026 for a DRDO sponsored project titled Creation of speech corpora for central Naga languages for LID task. The project is led by Dr. Amalesh Gope, Assistant Professor, Department of Linguistics and Language Technology.

This is a project-based research and fieldwork role. The work is linked to speech data collection, IPA transcription, language documentation, basic grammar and phonological structure work for central Naga languages such as Ao, Angami, Chokri, Kheza, Sangtam, Pochuri, Tikhir, Yimkhiung, Phom, Chang and Khiamniungan.
