Who Can Apply?

Basic SHG and Local Requirements

  • SHG membership: You must be a woman member of a Self Help Group connected with the panchayat-level federation.
  • Experience: You should have worked as an SHG promoter for at least 2 years.
  • Local condition: You should belong to the same panchayat or panchayats where the coordinator work will be done.
  • Target household priority: People identified through the participatory identification process get priority. If suitable applicants are not available from that group, other applicants may be considered.
  • Work condition: You should not already be working full-time in a community-based organisation or private organisation.
  • Loan condition: You should not be a member of a group that has overdue loan dues.

Education and Skills

  • Qualification: You should have passed 12th standard.
  • Hill-area exception: If 12th pass applicants are not available in hill areas, 10th pass applicants with other required conditions may be considered with the District Collector's special approval.
  • Language and maths: You should be able to read and write Tamil and English and do basic calculations.
  • Bank work: You should have experience going to banks for transactions and filling loan application forms.
  • Mobile skills: You must have an Android phone and know how to use SMS, WhatsApp, and mobile apps.
  • Preference: Computer skills, a two-wheeler driving licence, and two-wheeler driving ability will be preferred.

Age Limit

  • You should be below 35 years on the date of application.
  • Special hill-area condition: In tribal hill settlements where a suitable woman member is not available, a male member may be selected with the District Collector's special approval.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through 100 marks in total:

  1. Written Test: The written test carries 75 marks.
  2. Interview: The district-level selection committee will conduct an interview for 25 marks.
  3. Final Merit: Selection will be based on the combined marks from the written test and interview.

The selection committee includes the Project Director, TNSRLM, District Lead Bank Manager, Assistant Project Officer for financial inclusion, one nationalised bank representative, and a panchayat-level federation secretary.

Minimum Qualification

Exam Pattern
