Soban Singh Jeena Government Institute of Medical Science and Research Almora (SSJGIMSR Almora), Uttarakhand, has announced a walk-in interview for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts. The posts are on a yearly renewable contract basis for a maximum period of 3 years or until regular appointments are made. Who Can Apply?

Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor

• Qualification: You must meet the recent NMC norms and Uttarakhand State Government policy for the post and specialty.
• Marked subjects: For subjects marked with an asterisk in the notice, only MD/MS/DNB candidates are required to apply.
• Certificates: The notice states that BCBR and BCME certificates are mandatory for Professor and Associate Professor posts.
• NOC: If you are serving in Central or State Government, you need to produce a No Objection Certificate from the appropriate authority.

Age Limit

• Age limit: The notice says age limit will be as per recent NMC norms and Uttarakhand State Government policy.

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 2,25,000 per month + MTDCS Rs. 71,500 = Gross Rs. 2,96,500 per month; annual increment Rs. 6,000.
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,65,000 per month + MTDCS Rs. 61,500 = Gross Rs. 2,26,500 per month; annual increment Rs. 6,000.
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,25,000 per month + MTDCS Rs. 47,500 = Gross Rs. 1,72,500 per month; annual increment Rs. 3,600.
• Radiology Professor: Fixed Rs. 4,40,000 per month; annual increment Rs. 30,000.
• Radiology Associate Professor: Fixed Rs. 3,50,000 per month; annual increment Rs. 25,000.
• Radiology Assistant Professor: Fixed Rs. 2,50,000 per month; annual increment Rs. 25,000.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

Selection will be through a walk-in interview at the Principal Office, SSJGIMSR Almora. You should bring all original documents because the institute will check qualification, experience, publications and category proof during the process.

1. Registration: Register on 17 June 2026 at the interview venue; registration is open only till 1:00 PM.
2. Document verification: Submit your resume, certificates, experience proof, publications, photographs and category certificate if applicable.
3. Interview: Attend the faculty interview from 10:00 AM onwards at the Principal Office, SSJGIMSR Almora.
4. Final decision: The number of posts may increase or decrease at the time of interview and final selection.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The interview committee can accept or reject applications as per the rules in the notice.
