Sports Authority of India Executive Director Finance Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Sports Authority of India (SAI) is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It works on sports development, athlete training, and sports infrastructure across the country. This notice is for engagement of Executive Director (Finance) for a deputation period of 3 years.

The role is senior and finance-focused. SAI prefers officers with experience in finance, accounts, or sports management. The Executive Director (Finance) will guide budget preparation, fund allocation, accounting records, financial proposals, audit work, treasury management, fund flow, and financial planning. The post also involves coordination with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, SAI divisions, and other stakeholders on finance matters. The place of posting will be on an all-India basis at centres where SAI schemes are implemented, so you should be comfortable with transfer or posting as per organisational need.

Service Eligibility

• Eligible organisations: Officers working under the Central Government, State Government, or Union Territory Administrations can apply.
• Preferred background: SAI prefers officers with experience in Finance, Accounts, or Sports Management.
• Analogous post route: Officers holding an analogous post on regular basis can apply.
• Level 13 route: Officers with at least 2 years regular service in Level 13 with pay range Rs. 1,23,100 to Rs. 2,15,900 can apply.
• Level 12 route: Officers with at least 6 years regular service in Level 12 with pay range Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 can apply.

Application Route

• Proper channel: Your application must reach SAI through your cadre controlling authority or proper channel.
• Advance copy: You may send an advance copy, but your candidature will be considered only if the proper-channel application with required documents is received before final selection.
• Records needed: The application must include ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years, vigilance clearance, integrity certificate, penalty certificate, and cadre clearance certificate.

What SAI will check: The notice asks for service records that prove your current post, regular service in the relevant pay level, finance or accounts experience, and clearance from your parent cadre. Your employer or cadre authority must support the application with APARs, vigilance clearance, integrity certificate, penalty certificate, and cadre clearance.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: The maximum age for appointment by deputation should not exceed 56 years.

Salary

• Pay Level: Executive Director (Finance) is in Pay Level 13A.
• Salary range: The pay range is Rs. 1,31,100 to Rs. 2,16,600.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

SAI will call candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for interview. The selection will be made through a merit list prepared by the Selection Committee and approved by the Competent Authority.

1. Application Scrutiny: SAI will check your service level, finance/accounts background, age, and required documents.
2. Interview: SAI will call shortlisted officers for interview.
3. Selection Committee Merit: The committee will prepare the merit list for the post.
4. Document and Vigilance Clearance: Final consideration depends on proper-channel documents, vigilance clearance, APARs, and cadre clearance.

How to Apply

1. Fill the prescribed application format attached as Annexure-I in the notification.
2. Attach proof of age, qualification, experience, and service details.
3. Include attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years.
4. Attach integrity certificate, vigilance clearance, no penalty certificate, service verification certificate, and cadre clearance certificate.
5. Send the application through proper channel to Director (Human Resources Division-II), Room No. 210, Sports Authority of India, Head Office, Gate No. 10 (East Gate), Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003.
6. Make sure the complete application reaches SAI on or before 10 July 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Before sending: Check that the application is signed, countersigned by the employer where required, and supported by all clearance certificates. SAI specifically asks for records that show the officer's service history, current pay level, and suitability for the finance role.
