Essential Qualification

• Bachelor's degree: You need a first-class B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Hydropower, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics or allied areas from a recognised university.
• Master's degree: You also need a first-class M.Tech/M.E./M.S. in Hydraulic Engineering, Hydraulic Structures, Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Fluid Mechanics, Hydromechanics, Hydropower, River Engineering, Environmental Engineering or allied areas.
• Academic record: Both the bachelor's and master's degree conditions are required as per the notice.

Desirable Skills

• Hydraulics knowledge: Understanding of fluid mechanics, hydraulics, sediment transport and river engineering will help.
• Lab and modelling exposure: Experience with hydraulic lab experiments, flow measuring instruments and numerical modelling is preferred.
• CFD tools: Familiarity with OpenFOAM, FLOW-3D, REEF3D, STAR-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, TELEMAC, Delft3D or similar tools is useful.
• Programming: Basic programming skills in MATLAB, Python or C++ are preferred.
• Research writing: Scientific writing, critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills are important for this JRF role.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years.
