Indira Gandhi Hospital (IGH), Dwarka, Delhi is hiring 3 Senior Residents on Adhoc basis under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of NCT of Delhi. If you have an MBBS degree with a Postgraduate qualification (MS/MD/DNB/Diploma) in Obs. & Gynae or Radio-diagnosis, you can attend the walk-in interview on 2 June 2026. Salary is Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month in Pay Matrix Level 11. Age limit is up to 45 years for General candidates.

Indira Gandhi Hospital (IGH), Sector-9, Dwarka, New Delhi has released notice number F.No.2/16(30)/Estt./Aptt./SR/2026-IGH dated 26 May 2026 for engagement of Senior Residents on Adhoc basis. The appointment is initially for a period of 89 days, extendable as per H&FW department rules. Only those candidates who can join immediately need apply. Postgraduate doctors registered with the Delhi Medical Council can appear for the walk-in.

- Obs. & Gynae: 2 posts (UR-1, OBC-1)
- Radio-diagnosis: 1 post (UR-1)

Who Can Apply?
- For Obs. & Gynae: You must have an MBBS degree with MS / DNB / Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- For Radio-diagnosis: You must have an MBBS degree with MD / DNB / Diploma in Radio-diagnosis
- You must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council on or before the day of interview, with a valid DMC certificate (or proof of having applied for PG degree DMC on the date of interview)
- Only those candidates who can join immediately within 7 days of the offer letter should apply
- If you are currently working on Adhoc or Regular basis, you must produce an NOC from your present employer
Age Limit
- General: 45 years (as on date of interview)
- OBC (belonging to Delhi only): 48 years
- SC / ST: 50 years
- Note: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are NOT eligible for these posts
Salary
- Selected candidates will get a salary in Pay Matrix Level 11 (Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month) as per 7th CPC
- Other allowances are also admissible as per Government of India rules
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is based on:
- Walk-in Interview: You will be evaluated based on your qualifications, experience and interview performance. Selection is purely provisional and subject to verification of certificates and medical fitness.
- Document Verification: All certificates will be verified against original documents on the day of interview.
- Medical Examination: Appointment is subject to medical fitness.
A panel of wait-listed candidates will be prepared and remain valid for 6 months or till the next selection process is held, whichever is earlier.

- Report at the venue at 9:30 AM on 2 June 2026 with the filled application form, original documents, and photocopies.
- Carry your DMC registration certificate, MBBS and PG degree marksheets, internship completion certificate, attempt certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), Aadhaar/PAN/Driving Licence, and address proof.

Responsibilities
- Provide round-the-clock patient care in the assigned department (Obs. & Gynae or Radio-diagnosis)
- Handle ward rounds, OPD duties, emergencies and minor procedures
- Assist consultants during surgeries, deliveries and diagnostic procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets and discharge summaries
- Work in shifts including night and weekend duty as per the department roster
- Teach and supervise junior residents, interns and nursing staff
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control practices and safety guidelines
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
MBBS with MS/MD/DNB/Diploma in Obs. & Gynae or Radio-diagnosis from a recognised institute
Preferred Qualification
Postgraduate degree in the respective speciality with valid Delhi Medical Council registration
Required Skills
Clinical skills in the chosen speciality, patient management, emergency care, diagnostic interpretation
Age Limit
18 - 45 years (as on 02 Jun 2026)
