Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is hiring 1 Manager/Assistant Manager (Inspection) for the RS-17 rolling stock project at Sricity near Chennai. This is a Post Retirement Contractual Engagement (PRCE) for experienced Railway, Government, CPSU or Metro executives. You should be between 55 and 62 years as on 01 May 2026 and should have rolling stock inspection, manufacturing, maintenance, workshop or production unit experience. DMRC Manager/Assistant Manager Inspection Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, a joint venture of the Government of India and Government of NCT of Delhi, has issued Advertisement No. DMRC/PERS/22/HR/2026(231) dated 29 May 2026. The recruitment is for inspection, testing and commissioning work related to RS-17 Rolling Stock. This is a contract role for retired or retiring executives, not a fresh graduate vacancy.

Work location note: The notice names Sricity as the initial posting because the role is linked to inspection, testing and commissioning of RS-17 rolling stock. You should still be ready for project-site movement because DMRC states that selected executives can be posted or transferred to offices and project sites under the corporation in India or abroad.

Who Can Apply?

Common Experience Requirement

• Work background: You should be working in, or retired from, Railways, Government organisations, CPSUs or Metro organisations.
• Relevant field: You need experience in inspection of Railway/Metro coach manufacturing, maintenance of Railway/Metro rolling stock, Railway workshops or Railway production units.
• Computer environment: DMRC expects you to be comfortable with a computerized work environment.
• Clearance: You should be free from D&AR and vigilance angle.

Service status: Presently serving executives can apply only if they are able to retire through VRS or another approved route before joining DMRC. Working executives also need proper-channel forwarding, APARs for the last five years, vigilance clearance and D&AR clearance, so keep these papers ready early.

Manager (Inspection)

• Pay level route: CDA Pay Level 11 (Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700) or IDA Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,80,000 or above.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years at Gazetted/Executive level in the relevant field.

Assistant Manager (Inspection)

• Pay level route: CDA Pay Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500) or Level 9 (Rs. 53,100 to Rs. 1,67,800), or IDA Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,60,000.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years at Gazetted/Executive level in the relevant field.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 55 years old as on 01 May 2026.
• The maximum age is 62 years as on 01 May 2026.
• Working executives may be considered if they take VRS or retire before joining DMRC.

Salary

• Manager (Inspection): Consolidated PRCE salary of Rs. 1,06,300 per month for outstation offices.
• Assistant Manager (Inspection): Consolidated PRCE salary of Rs. 82,700 per month for outstation offices.
• Contract term: Initially 1 year, extendable based on DMRC requirement and satisfactory performance.
• Other benefits will be as per DMRC company policy for PRCE engagements.

Selection Process

DMRC selection for this PRCE post has two main stages. The process checks technical knowledge, skills, comprehension, aptitude and medical fitness.

1. Personal Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be called for interview in the fifth week of June 2026, tentatively in online or offline mode.
2. Medical Fitness Examination: You must qualify the Executive/Technical medical category. If you fail the prescribed medical test, DMRC will not offer alternative employment.
3. Final Result: DMRC expects to declare the final result in the second week of July 2026.
