Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics / Electrical Engineering, OR M.C.A. (Master of Computer Applications) or equivalent from a recognised University/Institution.

Experience

• At least 12 years of total post-qualification executive experience in IT / Telecom / Electronics / Computer / IS field in a Central/State Government or PSU organisation.

Who is eligible (deputation grade)

• Central/State Government officers in an analogous substantive grade (Level-13), or in Junior Administrative Grade (JAG, Level-12) with 8-12 years' Group A service in the relevant discipline, OR
• PSU employees in an analogous grade, or in pay scale Rs. 80,000-2,20,000 (IDA) (E5) with 4 years' service in the grade.

Desirable

• Master's degree or certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Scrum Master, CISA or ISO 27001.
• Working knowledge of SAP modules, exposure to Cyber Security operations, and experience managing medium-to-large IT projects.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 55 years.
• The cut-off date for age and eligibility is the closing date of the vacancy notice.

Salary

• You will get your parent pay plus deputation (duty) allowance, along with all other perks and allowances as per DFCCIL policy.
• The eligible PSU pay scale for this post is Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 2,20,000 (IDA), E5 grade.

• Manage and optimise the entire DFCCIL network infrastructure (LAN/WAN) for high availability and security
• Oversee the full lifecycle of application development, integration and enhancement, including ERP like SAP
• Run the on-premise data centre and cloud hosting, covering capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery
• Coordinate with internal teams, the Ministry of Railways and vendors on IT projects
• Ensure compliance with government IT guidelines and data security standards
• Support IT procurement planning and execution, including GeM procedures and contract management
• Supervise functional teams handling network, application, hosting and first-level security operations
