The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), North & Middle Andaman, under the Office of the Deputy Commissioner has issued a vacancy notice for 11 contractual posts in the Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA) running under the Mission Vatsalya Scheme. Who Can Apply?

Manager/Coordinator

• Graduate preferably in B.A. Social Work / Sociology / Social Science or LLB from a recognised university
• Experience: At least 2 years of working in Govt./NGO/Legal matters, preferably in women and child rights
• Proficiency in computers is required

Social Worker-cum-Early Childhood Educator

• Graduate preferably in B.A. Social Work / Sociology / Social Science from a recognised university
• Proficiency in computers is required

Nurse

• B.Sc (Nursing) from a recognised university

Doctor (Part Time)

• MBBS from a recognised university

Ayahs

• Must have passed the Secondary School Examination (10th standard) from a recognised Board/Institution
• Experience: 1 year of experience working as an Ayah/Female Attendant in a registered Hospital/Health Institution or as an Anganwadi worker/helper

Chowkidar

• Must have passed the Secondary School Examination (10th standard) from a recognised Board/Institution
• Experience: 1 year of experience working as a Security Guard in a Govt./Private organisation

Age Limit

• Manager/Coordinator, Social Worker, Nurse, Doctor, Chowkidar: Not above 40 years
• Ayahs: Not above 50 years
• The reference date for age is 30 May 2026 (last date of application).

Salary

• Manager/Coordinator: Rs. 23,170 per month
• Social Worker-cum-Early Childhood Educator: Rs. 18,536 per month
• Nurse: Rs. 11,916 per month
• Doctor (Part Time): Rs. 9,930 per month
• Ayahs: Rs. 7,944 per month
• Chowkidar: Rs. 7,944 per month
• The appointment is purely on contractual basis which may be extended on mutual consent.

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

1. Scrutiny of Applications: The applications received within the last date will be scrutinised. A list of eligible candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, North & Middle Andaman and on the official website.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. No individual call letter will be issued for the interview.
3. Document Verification: All original documents will be verified at the time of interview.

Note: No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for attending the interview.

• Handle daily operations and child welfare activities of the Specialized Adoption Agency under Mission Vatsalya
• Coordinate adoption processes, documentation and family counselling for prospective adoptive parents
• Provide healthcare, nursing and emergency medical support to children in the SAA
• Educate and engage young children through early childhood development activities
• Take care of personal hygiene, feeding and daily needs of infants and children under SAA care
• Maintain security of the SAA premises and ensure safe round-the-clock supervision
• Keep proper records of children, medical files, attendance and reports as per Mission Vatsalya guidelines
