Central Zoo Authority Deputy Inspector General Recruitment 2026 - 5 Posts
Central Zoo Authority (CZA), a statutory autonomous body under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has issued a vacancy circular for 5 Deputy Inspector General posts. The notice covers 1 post at CZA Headquarters, New Delhi and 4 posts at regional offices in Jaipur, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Guwahati. This is a deputation opportunity for serving IFS officers, so it is meant for officers already working under the Central Government or State Governments.
The forwarding letter asks Principal Chief Conservators of Forests, Chief Wildlife Wardens and Zoo Directors across States and Union Territories to give this notice wide publicity. CZA has also said that the advertisement is placed on the CZA website and on the Ministry website. That matters because your application should move through your department, with the service records and clearances attached, instead of being sent like a normal direct recruitment form.
Vacancy Breakdown
- CZA Headquarters, New Delhi: 1 post
- CZA Regional Offices: 4 posts at Jaipur, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Guwahati
- Total vacancies: 5 Deputy Inspector General posts
The selected officers will work as DIG at Delhi, Jaipur, Nagpur, Guwahati or Hyderabad. These are senior zoo and wildlife management roles, so the notice is focused on officers who already understand government wildlife administration and can handle regional coordination work for CZA.
