Deadline Extension
CSIR-CCMB issued an official notice dated 26 May 2026 for Advt. No. 03/2026 and 04/2026. The online application and fee payment deadline has been extended to 05 June 2026, 11:59 PM. The hardcopy receipt deadline has been extended to 15 June 2026, 6:00 PM. The cutoff date for upper age limit, qualifications and experience remains 26 May 2026, and all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
Responsibilities
- Work in an institutional facility or laboratory as designated by the in-charge at CSIR-CCMB
- Handle laboratory assistance work in chemical plant operations (for TE-01)
- Operate computer systems and assist with programming tasks (for TE-02)
- Manage food production and patisserie work at the institutional canteen or guest house (for TE-03)
- Drive and maintain light and heavy motor vehicles for the institute (for Driver)
- Perform routine maintenance and remove minor mechanical defects in vehicles (for Driver)
- Carry out any other tasks specified by the Competent Authority of CSIR-CCMB
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
10th Standard with Science (minimum 55% marks) + ITI/Trade Certificate in relevant trade OR 2 years apprenticeship OR 3 years work experience. For Driver: 10th pass + valid LMV/HMV licence + 3 years driving experience.
Preferred Qualification
ITI certificate in the relevant trade with hands-on experience

Exam Pattern
For Technician (1) / Gr. II (1)
Stage I: Trade Test (qualifying) in the relevant trade subjects.
Stage II: Competitive Written Examination — OMR/CBT Objective MCQ test at SSC + ITI / XII standard. Total 150 questions in 2 hours 30 minutes. In English and Hindi.
- Paper-I (1 Hour): Mental Ability Test - 50 Qs, 100 marks (2 marks each). No negative marking.
- Paper-II (30 min): General Awareness (25 Qs, 75 marks) + English Language (25 Qs, 75 marks). 1 negative mark per wrong answer.
- Paper-III (1 Hour): Concerned Subject - 50 Qs, 150 marks (3 marks each). 1 negative mark per wrong answer.
Paper-II and Paper-III will be evaluated only for candidates who score minimum threshold marks in Paper-I. Final merit list is based on Paper-II + Paper-III only.
For Driver
Stage I: Skill Test (qualifying) - practical driving.
Stage II: Competitive Written Examination - OMR/CBT, Class X standard, 100 questions in 90 minutes:
- General Intelligence: 25 Qs (75 marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Qs (75 marks)
- General Awareness: 25 Qs (75 marks)
- English Language: 25 Qs (75 marks)
- 1 negative mark for every wrong answer

Frequently Asked Questions
The last date to submit the online application is 26 May 2026 (11:59 PM). The signed hard copy must reach CSIR-CCMB Hyderabad by 5 June 2026 (6:00 PM).
Both posts are in Pay Matrix Level-2 of the 7th CPC with total approximate emoluments of Rs. 39,970 per month including DA, HRA and TA. You also get medical benefits, LTC and other allowances as per CSIR rules.
For Technician posts you need 10th standard with Science (55% marks) plus ITI or 2 years apprenticeship or 3 years trade experience. For Driver post you need 10th pass with a valid LMV and HMV driving licence and 3 years post-licence driving experience.
Apply online at ccmb.res.in by 26 May 2026 and pay Rs. 500 fee via SBI State Bank Collect. Then send the signed printout with all documents by post to The Section Officer (Recruitment Section), CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad-500007 by 5 June 2026.
The fee is Rs. 500 for UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates payable via SBI SB Collect. Women, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the fee.
