About This Job

Central Bank of India is hiring 4,500 Apprentices for the 2026-27 financial year under the Apprentices Act, 1961. If you have a graduation degree in any discipline and you are registered on the NATS portal, you can apply online. The last date to complete registration and fee payment is 22 June 2026. Selected apprentices will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000 during the 12-month training period.

Central Bank of India Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 4500 Posts

Central Bank of India, a public sector bank with a large pan-India branch network, has released this notification for 4,500 apprentice training seats. The training will be in branches and offices in the selected region, based on the Bank's requirement. This is a one-year apprenticeship, so it is useful for graduates who want practical banking exposure before applying for regular bank jobs.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You need a degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • Graduation year: You must have completed graduation on or after 1 January 2022.
  • NATS registration: You should be registered on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal before applying.
  • Local language: You should know the official or local language of the state you apply for, including reading, writing, speaking and understanding.
  • Previous apprenticeship: You should not have already completed or be pursuing apprenticeship training with Central Bank of India or any other organisation.
  • Experience restriction: If you have one year or more of job or training experience after your qualification, you cannot apply for this apprentice engagement.

Age Limit

  • You should be between 20 and 28 years old as on 31 May 2026.
  • You must have been born not earlier than 31 May 1998 and not later than 31 May 2006, both dates included.
  • SC/ST: Upper age relaxation of 5 years.
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Upper age relaxation of 3 years.
  • PwBD: 10 years for UR/EWS, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST.
  • Widows, divorced women and legally separated women who have not remarried: Up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST.

Stipend

  • Selected apprentices will get a stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month.
  • The training period is 12 months.
  • The notification clearly says apprentices are not eligible for other allowances or benefits.

Application Fee

  • General/EWS/OBC Male: Rs. 944 total, including GST.
  • General/EWS/OBC Female: Rs. 708 total, including GST.
  • SC/ST: Rs. 236 total, including GST.
  • PwBD: Rs. 236 total, including GST.
  • Transgender: Rs. 236 total, including GST.
  • Payment mode: Online only. The fee must be paid before 22 June 2026.

Selection Process

The selection process has online testing, local language check, document verification and medical fitness. Final selection depends on merit as per available seats.

  1. Online Examination: Objective test conducted by BFSI SSC for 100 questions and 100 marks in 60 minutes.
  2. Merit List: Selection is based on marks and available vacancies. If two people get the same marks, the older candidate is ranked higher.
  3. Local Language Test: You must qualify the language test for the state you selected, unless you studied that language in Class 10 or Class 12 and can show the marksheet.
  4. Document Verification: The Bank will check your date of birth, category, education and other application details.
  5. Medical Fitness: Final engagement is subject to being found medically fit as required by the Bank.

How to Apply

  1. Go to the NATS student portal at nats.education.gov.in.
  2. Register or log in under the Student Register/Login section.
  3. After login, open the apprenticeship advertisement for Central Bank of India.
  4. Apply for the apprenticeship opportunity and keep your NATS enrolment ID safely.
  5. After successful NATS application, check your email from BFSI SSC and complete the final process on beep.bfsissc.com.
  6. Fill in category and district preferences, upload documents and pay the fee online before 22 June 2026.
  7. Submit the form and keep a printout of the final application for future use.

Responsibilities

  • Handle basic banking service tasks during branch or office training
  • Keep learning records and complete assigned apprenticeship activities
  • Assist bank staff with customer service, documentation and routine support work
  • Follow Central Bank of India rules, conduct standards and data privacy practices
  • Work with supervisors to understand banking products, services and branch processes
  • Prepare simple reports and update training-related information when asked
  • Monitor emails, portal updates and instructions from the Bank and BFSI SSC

Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university; graduation completed on or after 01 January 2022; NATS registration required.

Exam Pattern

The online exam will have 100 objective questions for 100 marks. You will get 60 minutes to complete the test.

  • Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude: 20 questions for 20 marks, English/Hindi medium
  • Computer Knowledge: 20 questions for 20 marks, English/Hindi medium
  • General English: 20 questions for 20 marks, English medium
  • Central Bank of India Products and Services: 20 questions for 20 marks, English medium

Negative Marking: There will be no negative marks for wrong answers.

Exam Type: Online objective test conducted by BFSI SSC.
