CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR-CDRI), Lucknow has released Advertisement No. 06/2026 for temporary project staff under CSIR-CDRI ULIP, ICMR, ANRF, AYUSH and BMGF funded projects. Who Can Apply?

Project Associate / PAT-I Posts

• Qualification: You need the relevant Master's or Integrated Master's degree in Chemical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, MVSc or related areas depending on the code.
• Pharmacy posts: Some online posts need M.Pharm/MS Pharm with GPAT or Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics.
• Useful experience: Organic synthesis, formulation development, molecular biology, animal handling, cell culture, protein work, bioinformatics, mammalian cell culture or national laboratory experience can help where listed.

Technical Support and Assistant Posts

• Project Technical Support-I: You need 10th plus MLT/DMLT diploma with 2 years experience, or a relevant 3-year graduate degree with 1 year experience.
• Project Assistant-II: You need B.Sc. in Life Sciences for the walk-in assistant posts.
• Lab skills: ICP-MS/AAS, HPLC, clinical sample handling, biomarker study, hematology, biochemical tests, ELISA and molecular biology are useful for the listed technical roles.

Research Scientist, Research Associate and JRF Posts

• Project Research Scientist-I: You need M.Sc. Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry with 2 years experience in organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry.
• Research Associate-I: You need a Ph.D. in Life Sciences or equivalent, with project-specific research experience.
• Junior Research Fellow (Project): You need B.Pharm with GPAT.

Age Limit

• Project Associate / PAT-I: Up to 35 years for most codes.
• Project Technical Support-I: Up to 28 years.
• Junior Research Fellow (Project): Up to 28 years.
• Research Associate-I: Up to 40 years.
• Project Associate-I under some ANRF codes: Up to 50 years.
• Age calculation: For online posts, age is counted on the last date of online application. For walk-in posts, age is counted on the date of interview.
• Age relaxation: SC/ST/PwBD/Women get 5 years and OBC gets 3 years, as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Project Technical Support-I: Rs. 18,000 per month plus 20% HRA.
• Project Assistant-II: Rs. 20,000 per month plus 20% HRA.
• Project Associate / PAT-I: Mostly Rs. 25,000 per month plus 20% HRA; selected NET/GATE/national-exam categories may get Rs. 31,000 or Rs. 37,000 plus HRA where listed.
• Junior Research Fellow (Project): Rs. 37,000 per month plus 20% HRA.
• Project Research Scientist-I: Rs. 56,000 per month plus 20% HRA.
• Research Associate-I: Rs. 47,000 to Rs. 58,000 per month plus HRA as listed for the project.

Application Fee

• No application fee is mentioned in the CDRI Advertisement No. 06/2026.

Selection Process

CDRI will use screening and interview for these temporary project posts. For walk-in posts, a written test may be held in the subject area only if CDRI needs it to shortlist candidates on the same day.
