Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Miniratna Category-1 Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has released a notification to engage 33 ITI Trade Apprentices at its Kanchanbagh Unit in Hyderabad under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. BDL is a leading manufacturer of guided missile systems for the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible as a separate apprenticeship scheme applies to them.

Total: 33 vacancies across 8 ITI trades.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed 10th class / SSC and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade.
• Not Eligible: Engineering graduates and diploma holders cannot apply — they have a separate apprenticeship scheme.
• You must register on the National Apprenticeship Training portal as well as the BDL portal.

Age Limit

• Age must be between 14 and 30 years as on 1 June 2026 for unreserved candidates.
• Age Relaxation:
• SC / ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• Unreserved PwD: 10 years
• OBC PwD: 13 years
• SC / ST PwD: 15 years

Stipend

• Selected apprentices will receive a stipend at the rate prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council and current government norms.
• Training will be as per the standards and syllabus set by the Central Apprenticeship Council.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates during the selection process or training period.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on merit as follows:

1. Trade-wise Lists: Separate merit lists will be prepared for candidates applying to each trade.
2. Common Merit List: A common merit list will be made trade-wise based on marks in 10th class / SSC and ITI. Equal weightage will be given to 10th and ITI marks.
3. Medical Fitness Test: Selected candidates must clear the prescribed medical examination before joining training.

Average marks formula: (Total marks obtained / Maximum marks) × 100

How to Apply

1. Go to www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and register as an apprentice (candidate-registration page).
2. Use the same Aadhaar details (name and date of birth) as your 10th class certificate.
3. Click on 'Establishment Search', choose 'Apprentice Opportunities' and select Bharat Dynamics Limited, Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad (Reg. No. E05203600393).
4. Upload scanned colour copies of 10th class / SSC, ITI and caste certificate (original certificates) along with marksheets.
5. Complete online registration by 1 June 2026.
6. Send the hard copy of the online registration printout along with provisional marksheets of 10th / ITI and caste certificate to Manager (HR), Apprentice Section, Bharat Dynamics Limited, Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad - 500058 by post on or before 8 June 2026.

Only candidates who complete both online registration and submit the hard copy will be considered. BDL employees' wards (children/spouse) can submit applications by hand at the same office.

Important Notes

• BDL has the right to reject any application at any stage of the selection process.
• If a candidate is later found ineligible, the candidature will be cancelled immediately.

• Candidates without online registration and uploaded marksheets will not be considered.
• Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible for this trade apprenticeship.

• Work as a trade apprentice in the assigned trade under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961
• Follow the training programme set by the Central Apprenticeship Council
• Learn hands-on skills in missile and weapon system manufacturing operations
• Operate machinery and equipment relevant to your trade (fitting, turning, welding, etc.)
• Maintain training logs and complete prescribed assignments on time
• Follow safety rules, discipline and conduct guidelines of BDL
• Pass the medical fitness test before starting the apprenticeship
