Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Government of India, has invited applications for 10 part-time specialist doctor posts in its Medical Division at BARC Hospital, Mumbai. The recruitment covers seven medical specialties — General Physician, Ophthalmologist, Neonatologist, Radiologist, Anaesthetist, Neurologist, and Dermatologist. Who Can Apply?

General Physician (SO/D) - 2 Posts

• You need M.D. or DNB in General Medicine (Specialty)
• Minimum 1 to 4 years of experience after M.D./DNB

Ophthalmologist (SO/D) - 1 Post

• You need MS, MD, or DNB in Ophthalmology from an MCI-recognised institute
• Minimum 1 to 4 years of experience

Neonatologist (SO/E) - 1 Post

• You need DM or DNB in Neonatology
• Minimum 4 to 10 years of experience

Radiologist (SO/D) - 2 Posts

• You need M.D. or DNB in Radio-diagnosis (or equivalent) from a recognised university
• Minimum 1 to 4 years of experience
• Age preferably not more than 59 years

Anaesthetist (SO/D) - 1 Post

• You need MD or DNB in Anaesthesia with 1 year of experience, OR
• DA in Anaesthesia with 2 years of experience

Neurologist (SO/F) - 1 Post

• You need DM or DNB in Neurology
• Minimum 10 to 16 years of experience

Dermatologist (SO/D) - 2 Posts

• You need MD or DNB in Dermatology from an MCI-recognised institute
• Minimum 1 to 4 years of experience

Higher qualification and additional experience are not a debarment.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 25 years
• Maximum age: 70 years (as on the date of advertisement)
• For Radiologist: age preferably not more than 59 years

Salary

• General Physician: Rs. 884/hour (approx. Rs. 22,984 per month - 2 days/week, 3 hours/day)
• Ophthalmologist: Rs. 884/hour (approx. Rs. 91,936 per month - 6 days/week, 4 hours/day)
• Neonatologist: Rs. 1,061/hour (approx. Rs. 13,793 per month - 1 day/week, 3 hours/day)
• Radiologist: Rs. 884/hour (approx. Rs. 91,936 per month - 6 days/week, 4 hours/day)
• Anaesthetist: Rs. 884/hour (approx. Rs. 45,968 per month - 3 days/week, 4 hours/day)
• Neurologist: Rs. 1,540/hour (approx. Rs. 40,040 per month - 2 days/week, 3 hours/day)
• Dermatologist: Rs. 884/hour (approx. Rs. 34,476 per month - 3 days/week, 3 hours/day)

Selection Process

Selection is through a walk-in interview only. There is no written exam.

1. Preliminary Screening: The Selection Committee decides screening criteria at its discretion.
2. Walk-in Interview: Conducted at Conference Room No. II, BARC Hospital, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai.
3. Shortlisting (if high response): Candidates may be shortlisted based on the highest percentage obtained in MBBS.

Reporting time: 08:30 hours. Candidates reporting after 09:30 hours will not be entertained.

• Provide specialist consultation and treatment to patients at BARC Hospital
• Handle OPD, IPD, and emergency duties in your assigned specialty
• Conduct diagnostic procedures and interpret reports relevant to your discipline
• Maintain patient records, prescriptions, and case files as per hospital protocol
• Coordinate with hospital staff and other specialists for patient care
• Follow standard medical guidelines and BARC Hospital procedures
• Attend to referrals and emergencies during your scheduled hours
