Balmer Lawrie & Co. Limited (Reference No: BL/CHRD/RECT/ET/2025-26/1, dated 19 May 2026), a Mini Ratna-I Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has released notification for 62 Executive Trainee posts. This includes 23 vacancies for BE/BTech graduates and 39 vacancies for MBA / equivalent postgraduates across multiple disciplines. - Discipline must match the post (Mechanical, Chemical, IT/CS, Food Technology, or Leather Technology)
- Minimum aggregate marks: 60% for SC/ST/PwBD, 65% for all other categories
- Integrated 5-year BE/BTech + ME/MTech candidates can also apply
- Final-year students can apply if they will produce their final mark sheet by 8 February 2027
For MBA / Equivalent Posts
- You must have a Full-time regular 2-year MBA/PGDM/PG Diploma/PG Degree in the relevant specialisation
- Minimum aggregate marks: 60% for SC/ST/PwBD, 65% for all other categories
- The course must be from a UGC/AICTE-recognised university/institute
- Lateral entry degree holders can apply
- Final-year students can apply with the same condition (final marksheet by 8 February 2027)

Salary
- Training-cum-probation (1 year): Basic pay of Rs. 40,000 per month in the pay scale of Rs. 40,000-1,40,000
- After successful completion: E1 Grade Rs. 40,000-1,40,000 with one annual increment
- Plus DA (IDA pattern), HRA, Cafeteria allowances, performance pay, and medical facility (self, spouse and two dependent children)
- Other benefits: Gratuity, Leave Encashment, and other perks as per company rules

Selection Process
The selection has the following stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 MCQs for 100 marks in 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD). Section 1 (40 marks) covers discipline-specific questions on General Engineering or General Management. Section 2 (60 marks) covers Aptitude - Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Numerical Aptitude, and English Proficiency. Negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. CBT cut-off: 65% for UR/EWS/OBC/Other, 60% for SC/ST/PwBD.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates (5-10 times the vacancies) called category-wise
- Group Discussion/Group Task (GD/GT): If applicable - minimum 65% (UR/EWS/OBC), 60% (SC/ST/PwBD)
- Personal Interview (PI): Minimum 65% (UR/EWS/OBC), 60% (SC/ST/PwBD)
- Medical Examination: Final fitness check at company-designated hospital
Final Merit: CBT 75% + PI 25% (if no GD), or CBT 65% + GD/GT 15% + PI 20%

Responsibilities
- Undergo structured training across Balmer Lawrie's Strategic Business Units (SBUs) for one year
- Handle assignments in your discipline area - Industrial Packaging, Greases & Lubricants, Chemicals, Logistics, Travel & Vacations, or Cold Chain
- Report at any Balmer Lawrie establishment, project office, or subsidiary in India or abroad as assigned
- Work in shifts when required based on operational needs
- Prepare project reports, MIS, and analyses for senior management review
- Assist in commercial operations, marketing, supply chain, or technical activities depending on your stream
- Maintain code of conduct as per Balmer Lawrie's policies and government norms
- Participate in performance reviews and continuous learning during training
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Full-time BE/BTech (4 years) in relevant discipline OR Full-time 2-year MBA/PGDM/PG Diploma in relevant specialisation from AICTE/UGC-recognised institute with minimum 65% (60% for SC/ST/PwBD)
