Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has released Advertisement No. 05/26 for Agriculture Field Assistant (Junior), Data Entry Operator, Field Assistant, Fishery Demonstrator, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Lower Division Clerk, Record Keeper/Record Clerk and Stockman posts. These vacancies are spread across multiple state departments, including Agriculture, Fisheries, Secretariat Administration, Health Services, Public Works, Animal Husbandry and other offices. Who Can Apply?

Class 11 Science Posts

  • Agriculture Field Assistant (Junior): You need Class 11 Science from a recognised board or institution.
  • Fishery Demonstrator: You need Class 11 Science with Biology as one subject.
  • Laboratory Assistant: You need AISSCE/Class 11 Science. A Diploma in Laboratory Technology is desirable.

Class 12 and Office Posts

  • Data Entry Operator: You need Class 12, a 35 WPM computer typing speed, and a minimum 6-month Diploma in Computer Application.
  • Junior Secretariat Assistant: You need Class 12, 35 WPM English typing on computer, and a minimum 6-month Diploma in Computer Application.
  • Lower Division Clerk: You need Class 12, 35 WPM typing on computer, and a minimum 6-month Diploma in Computer Application. For the Sainik Welfare department vacancy, Ex-Servicemen with at least 10 years combatant service are preferred.
  • Record Keeper/Record Clerk: You need Class 12 or equivalent plus a 1-year Diploma in Computer Application.

Other Technical Posts

  • Field Assistant: You need Class 12 with Mathematics/Geography, or Class 12 in any subject with a Survey course from a government-recognised ITI.
  • Stockman: You need AISSCE/Class 12 Science from a recognised board or institute.
  • Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

  • Age will be checked as on the closing date, 10 August 2026.
  • For Agriculture Field Assistant, Data Entry Operator, Junior Secretariat Assistant and most Lower Division Clerk posts, you should be between 18 and 32 years.
  • For Field Assistant, Fishery Demonstrator, Laboratory Assistant and Stockman, you should be between 18 and 35 years.
  • For Record Keeper/Record Clerk, you should be between 18 and 28 years.
  • For Lower Division Clerk under Directorate of Sainik Welfare cum Rajya Sainik Board, the age range is 18 to 40 years, with Ex-Servicemen relaxation as per rules.
  • Age relaxation: APST candidates get up to 5 years, PwBD candidates get 10 years, APST PwBD candidates get 15 years, and eligible in-service candidates get extra relaxation as per Arunachal Pradesh rules.

Salary

  • Level 1: Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 per month for Field Assistant.
  • Level 2: Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month for Fishery Demonstrator.
  • Level 4: Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month for Agriculture Field Assistant (Junior), Data Entry Operator, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Lower Division Clerk, Record Keeper/Record Clerk and Stockman.
  • You will also get allowances as per Government of Arunachal Pradesh rules.

Selection Process

The APSSB CHSL selection has two possible stages, depending on the post you choose:

  1. Written Exam: This is mandatory for all posts. The exam has 100 objective questions for 200 marks and you get 2 hours.
  2. Skill Test: This applies only to post codes 17/26, 20/26 and 22/26. It is qualifying in nature.
  3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents and upload copies on the APSSB portal when notified.

Minimum qualifying marks: You need at least 33% aggregate marks in the written exam. There is no negative marking and no subject-wise cut-off.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Class 11 Science or Class 12, depending on the post; computer diploma and typing required for DEO/JSA/LDC/Record Keeper posts

Preferred Qualification

Diploma in Laboratory Technology is desirable for Laboratory Assistant; Ex-Servicemen with 10 years combatant service preferred for one LDC department

Required Skills

Age Relaxation:

Exam Pattern

The written exam will have 100 objective questions for 200 marks. You will get 2 hours to complete it.

Subject-wise Breakdown

  • General Awareness: 25 questions for 50 marks
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability: 25 questions for 50 marks
  • Arithmetical and Numerical Ability: 25 questions for 50 marks
  • English Language and Comprehension: 25 questions for 50 marks

Negative Marking: There is no negative marking.

Minimum Marks: You need at least 33% aggregate marks. There is no subject-wise cut-off.
