Who Can Apply?

Salary
The pay spans Pay Matrix Level 1 to Level 6. The lowest starting basic pay is Rs. 18,000 and the highest notified range reaches Rs. 1,12,400.
- Level 6: Rs. 35,400–Rs. 1,12,400 for Sub-Inspector and ASI family posts
- Level 4: Rs. 25,500–Rs. 81,100 for constable-grade and technical support roles
- Level 3: Rs. 21,700–Rs. 69,100 for trades and constable categories
- Level 2: Rs. 19,900–Rs. 63,200 for selected support and driver-related posts
- Level 1: Rs. 18,000–Rs. 56,900 for follower and sanitation support posts
Age Limit
Different post families have different upper age limits (18–25, 18–30, 18–33, up to 38 for female candidates in some posts). ST relaxation: 5 years; OBC relaxation: 3 years. Central Government servants and Ex-Servicemen also get relaxation as notified.

Responsibilities
- Maintain law and order, patrol assigned areas, and support public safety duties in executive police posts
- Operate radio, VHF, and communication equipment for field coordination and emergency response
- Drive police, transport, and fire service vehicles while following route, safety, and readiness protocols
- Handle marine patrol or engine-room support work in police marine force posts with the required certificates
- Carry out workshop, electrical, diesel, and vehicle maintenance tasks in technical and transport units
- Support fire response, rescue preparation, and station duties in Fire and Emergency Services posts
- Manage stores, records, messenger work, sanitation support, and unit housekeeping in assigned support roles
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
10th pass, 12th pass, graduate, diploma, engineering, ITI, or marine competency certificate depending on the post applied for
Preferred Qualification
Valid LMV or heavy vehicle driving licence, trade certificate, marine certificate, Hindi or computer knowledge, and post-specific practical experience where notified
Required Skills
Physical fitness, driving ability for many posts, trade or technical skills for workshop posts, and post-specific subject knowledge for radio, marine, fire, and transport roles
Age Limit
18 - 38 years (as on 17 May 2026)
Age Relaxation:
- ST: Up to 5 years
- OBC: Up to 3 years
- Central Government servants for Group B posts: Up to 5 years, or up to 10 years for ST where the post is in the same or allied cadre
- Central Government servants for Group C posts: Up to 40 years, or up to 45 years for ST where applicable
- DRM or contractual workers of A&N Administration: Available for the listed posts as per A&N Administration orders cited in the PDF
- Ex-Servicemen: Service period deduction plus up to 3 years beyond the prescribed age limit as per Government orders
