Who Can Apply?

Professor and Additional Professor

• Medical qualification: You need an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognised under the applicable medical law, plus MD/MS/DM/M.Ch or an equivalent qualification in the relevant specialty.
• Professor experience: You need up to 14 years teaching or research experience after MD/MS, with lower experience where DM/M.Ch routes apply as given in the notice.
• Additional Professor experience: You need up to 10 years teaching or research experience after the qualifying postgraduate degree, with lower experience for eligible DM/M.Ch routes.
• Non-medical departments: A relevant master's degree, a doctorate, and the required teaching or research experience are needed where the non-medical faculty route applies.

Associate Professor and Assistant Professor

• Associate Professor: You need the same core medical or non-medical qualification route as Professor, with 6 years teaching or research experience after MD/MS, or the applicable reduced experience after DM/M.Ch.
• Assistant Professor: You need an MBBS plus MD/MS in the relevant subject for listed broad specialties, or DM/M.Ch for super-specialty departments. Experience ranges from no additional experience to 3 years, depending on the qualifying degree and department.
• OCI applicants: Indian citizens and eligible OCI cardholders can apply as allowed by the applicable rules.
• NOC: If you work in a government, PSU, or autonomous body, you need a No Objection Certificate from your employer.

Age Limit

• Professor and Additional Professor: Maximum age is 58 years.
• Associate Professor and Assistant Professor: Maximum age is 50 years.
• Age reference date: Age, qualification, and experience are counted up to 30 days from publication in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar; the portal closing date for this round is 15 July 2026.
• SC/ST relaxation: 5 years for reserved vacancies.
• OBC relaxation: 3 years for reserved vacancies.
• PwBD relaxation: 10 years as per rules.
• Government servants: 5 years where the stated DoPT conditions are met.

Salary

• Professor: Pay Level 14-A with minimum pay of Rs. 1,68,900 per month, plus usual allowances and NPA where applicable.
• Additional Professor: Pay Level 13-A2+ with minimum pay of Rs. 1,48,200 per month, plus usual allowances and NPA where applicable.
• Associate Professor: Pay Level 13-A1+ with minimum pay of Rs. 1,38,300 per month, plus usual allowances and NPA where applicable.
• Assistant Professor: Pay Level 12 with minimum pay of Rs. 1,01,500 per month. Medically qualified Assistant Professors get NPA where applicable and move to Level 13 with Rs. 1,23,100 minimum pay after three years.
• Allowances: DA, HRA, and other admissible allowances apply as per AIIMS/Central Government rules.

Application Fee

• General/OBC: Rs. 3,540, including GST, payable online through the application portal.
• SC/ST/PwBD/EWS/Ex-servicemen/Women: No fee.
• Refund: The fee is not refundable once paid.

Selection Process

AIIMS Bibinagar will shortlist applications based on biodata, qualifications, experience, and the method decided by the Selection Committee. A screening test may be held if many people apply, and shortlisted applicants will be called for interview with original document checking.
