ZP Jashpur Accountant and Programmer Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Office of the Zila Panchayat, Jashpur in Chhattisgarh is filling contract posts under the Viksit Bharat - Rozgar and Ajeevika Guarantee Mission (Gramin), or VB-G RAM G. The Panchayat and Rural Development Department approved these vacancies in August 2026, and the mission commissioner then directed districts to fill a district-level Computer Programmer and block-level Programme Officer, Assistant Programmer and Accountant posts.

Selection is marks-based: your degree percentage, a computer practical test and your experience in government rural development schemes decide the merit. Only native residents of Chhattisgarh can apply, so this drive mainly suits local commerce, computer science and engineering graduates.

Posts and Disciplines

• Computer Programmer: knowledge of Dot Net, Java, MS SQL or Oracle earns extra marks.
• Accountant: the largest group in this drive; your Higher Secondary percentage also counts toward merit.
• Reservation: posts follow the district-level reservation roster, and the notice says the number of posts may change.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Domicile: You must be a native resident of Chhattisgarh and attach a residence certificate from the competent authority.
• Contract term: The contract runs for one year. It can be extended a year at a time with both sides' consent, based on your work and conduct.
• Purely temporary: Service can end at any time for a specific reason, or by either side with one month's notice or one month's pay.
• Rules that apply: You are governed by the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Contract Appointment) Rules, 2012 and the Conduct Rules, 1965. Leave follows the contract rules, and there is no pension, gratuity or death benefit after the contract ends.
• Past MGNREGA staff: If you were earlier removed from a Mahatma Gandhi NREGA post for irregularities, or your contract was not renewed, you are not eligible. The office also checks your past employer's confidential report on integrity and efficiency.
• Experience marks: Only work in government rural development schemes at equal or higher pay counts. Attach the appointment order, an experience certificate naming the scheme, and a salary slip or bank statement for that period.
• Marriage rules: A candidate who married below the legal minimum age, or who married someone with a living spouse, is not eligible.
• Grades instead of percentage: If your marksheet shows only grades, attach a percentage certificate from the head of the institution.
• Ex-servicemen: Posts left unfilled for want of ex-servicemen go to the same category on merit.
• Court order: All appointments are subject to the final order of the Supreme Court in SLP (C) No. 19688/2022.
• Claims and objections: Only clerical errors are corrected after the provisional list; no new certificate is accepted at that stage.

Application Submission Notes

Send the form in a closed envelope by Registered Post or Speed Post to The Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, Jashpur, Chhattisgarh, PIN 496331. It must reach the office by 5:30 PM on the closing day; hand-delivered applications are not accepted.

Write the post name and your caste category clearly on the envelope, and send a separate application for each post. Enclose two self-addressed envelopes with Rs. 30 postage stamps each, and paste a recent attested passport-size colour photo on the form.
