HGC Principal Recruitment 2026: Overview
Hojai Girls' College (HGC), a provincialised college in Hojai, Assam, has reopened recruitment for its Principal post. The Governing Body issued this fresh call after cancelling the earlier recruitment process under a Directorate of Higher Education order. If you are considering the post, the key point is that this is a fresh recruitment exercise following that cancellation.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Term of office: The Principal appointment is for five years. The notice gives this fixed term, which you should keep in mind when considering the move.
- Interview expenses: The college will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. You will need to make your own travel arrangements and meet those expenses.
- Complete application: The college says incomplete applications will be rejected. Use the prescribed format so that your application follows the form requested for this recruitment.
Application Submission Notes
Apply through the proper channel using the Directorate of Higher Education format. Send your application to the Office of the Principal I/C, Hojai Girls' College, Hojai, Assam. The postal instruction prints PIN 782415, while the letterhead prints 782435, so check this discrepancy with the college before dispatch. The demand draft must favour Principal I/C, Hojai Girls' College, Hojai and be payable at the State Bank of India, Hojai Branch.
Corrigenda and Notices
- Fresh advertisement dated 8 October 2026: The notice cancels the Principal recruitment advertised in The Assam Tribune and Doinik Asom on 17 July 2024. It cites the DHE order dated 25 September 2026 and opens a fresh application exercise under the government permission referenced in the advertisement.
