Family Court Pratapgarh Counsellor Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Office of the Principal Judge, Family Court, Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh is looking for a Counsellor. The counsellor working at the court now will leave in December 2026, and the court is filling the seat early on the orders of the Allahabad High Court (letter no. 7659/S.F.C.M.Cell dated 14 September 2026).

Anyone from the general public can apply, but this is a local job: only residents of Pratapgarh district can apply. You need a degree in Sociology or Psychology and some hands-on social service experience. If you have done family-case counselling before, you have a real edge.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Domicile: You must be a resident of Pratapgarh district.
• Experience is compulsory: Social service experience is a must, not a bonus. The notice does not fix a minimum number of years.
• Preference: Candidates with a Master's in Social Work and two years of counselling in family matters will be preferred.
• Age reckoning: Your age is counted on the date the notice was issued, not on the last date.
