DRDO ITR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

Integrated Test Range (ITR), a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence, is offering Graduate Apprentice and Technician (Diploma) Apprentice training at Chandipur in Balasore, Odisha. The engagement brings engineering, library, administration, accounting and specialist diploma streams into the same apprenticeship notice. You will join through a training contract under the apprenticeship framework.

Posts and Disciplines

• Graduate engineering streams: the notice groups computer-related and electronics-related branches separately, alongside electrical, mechanical, aerospace and safety engineering.
• Other graduate streams: library science, administration and human resources, and financial or cost accounting are included in the graduate training category.
• Technician streams: diploma training covers computer-related branches, electronics-related branches, electrical engineering, cinematography and medical laboratory technology.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training term: you must sign an apprenticeship contract for 12 months. The training period starts when that contract is executed.
• Employment after training: ITR does not have to offer you a job when the apprenticeship ends. Keep this condition in mind when considering the engagement.
• Accommodation and travel: ITR will not provide government quarters, hostel accommodation or transport during the assessment visit or the training period. It also does not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the recruitment process.
• Reservation: the apprenticeship legislation and rules govern reservation. For persons with benchmark disabilities, the notice limits participation to trades designated under the applicable apprenticeship rules.
• Changes to the drive: the advertised seats are indicative. ITR can change the intake or cancel the advertisement or recruitment process if circumstances warrant it.
• Conduct: attempts to influence recruitment can lead to rejection. Hiding facts can also end your candidature at any point in the process.
• Communication: offer letters are sent by email. Notices and call letters are provided through the website or email, so you must obtain and print your own call letter.
• Disputes: the notification places legal jurisdiction with the High Court of Odisha at Cuttack.

National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) registration at https://www.nats.education.gov.in is a prerequisite; it does not replace your postal application to ITR.

Use the Annexure-A form, type the entries in capital letters and sign it by hand; other handwritten entries are not accepted.

Send the sealed envelope only by Speed Post or Registered Post to The Director, Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Balasore, Odisha-756025; the deadline applies to receipt at ITR.
