The Zila Panchayat Bastar, Jagdalpur (District Panchayat, Panchayat Section) is filling Gram Panchayat Secretary posts in the newly formed Gram Panchayats of Bastar district in Chhattisgarh. The Gram Panchayat Secretary is the village panchayat's own permanent staff member, so this is a regular post with a probation period, not a scheme contract. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Domicile: Only native residents (mool niwasi) of Bastar district are eligible.

• Probation: Selected secretaries serve a three-year probation, which can be stretched up to five years. The CEO of the Zila Panchayat ends probation only if your work and conduct are found satisfactory; otherwise your services can be terminated.
