AIIMS BBSR PERFUSE AKI Multi Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar (AIIMS Bhubaneswar) is engaging project staff for PERFUSE-AKI INDIA in its Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care. Supported by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the study tests a low-cost strategy using several measures of blood flow to help reduce acute kidney injury in critically ill patients. Dr Prasanta Kumar Das, Associate Professor, leads the project at the institute, and both roles are temporary contract appointments.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical): This is the non-medical research position in the PERFUSE-AKI INDIA team, a multicentre randomised clinical trial in a critical-care setting.
• Project Technical Support-II: This is the technical-support position under the same project and department. It is a separate role, with its own entry route and appointment conditions.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: Both positions have an initial tenure of six months. Further service depends on project needs, your performance review and approval from the competent authority.
• No regular appointment: Project service gives you no claim to a permanent job at AIIMS, the funding agency or another government department. It also gives no right to a later assignment or transfer to another project.
• Service benefits: Provident Fund, pension, Leave Travel Concession and medical-claim benefits are not available under this engagement. You must accept this condition through an undertaking when you join.
• Leaving the role: The notice provides for one month of notice on either side. You must serve the full notice period and cannot pay the contractual amount instead.
• Early termination by the institute: The contract may be ended immediately or before the notice period ends through payment equal to one month of the contractual amount, as stated in the notice.
• Leave: Your leave follows the funding agency or institutional policy applicable to AIIMS Bhubaneswar contract staff.
• Separate applications: If you want to be considered for both roles, send a separate application for each. The selection committee or appointing authority decides the position for which an applicant is engaged.
• Recruitment decisions: AIIMS may change or cancel the process, and the Director has the final decision on candidature. Canvassing can disqualify you.
