Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to Indian citizens of both genders. On joining, you will be governed by the Act and Rules applicable to whichever CAPF you are allotted to after selection.

For Medical Officer / Assistant Commandant (Level 10):

• A recognized MBBS or equivalent allopathic medical qualification
• Permanent registration with MCI/NMC or a State Medical Council before appointment
• Completed compulsory rotating internship (candidates undergoing internship can apply, provided it is completed before appointment)

For Specialist Medical Officer / Deputy Commandant (Level 11):

• A recognized medical qualification with a Postgraduate Degree and 1.5 years' experience in the concerned speciality, OR a Postgraduate Diploma with 2.5 years' experience

For Super Specialist Medical Officer / Second-in-Command (Level 12):

• MBBS + completed internship + State Medical Register enrollment
• Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in the relevant specialty under the Indian Medical Council Act
• DM/M.Ch or equivalent, with 3 years' experience in the Super-Specialty after your first PG degree

Age Limit

• Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant): up to 30 years as on the closing date.
• Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant): up to 40 years as on the closing date.
• Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second-in-Command): up to 50 years as on the closing date.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get up to 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) up to 3 years, Central Government servants up to 5 years, and Army Medical Corps Short Service Commissioned Officers up to 5 years.

Salary

• Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant): Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month (Pay Level 10).
• Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant): Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month (Pay Level 11).
• Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second-in-Command): Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month (Pay Level 12).
• You will also get Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA), DA, HRA, Transport Allowance and other benefits as per government rules.
• On appointment, you will be covered under the New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme (NPS) applicable to new central government entrants.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection is based on:

1. Screening: Your qualifications, registration and experience are checked against the eligibility criteria for the post you apply for.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview to assess their suitability for the post.
3. Physical Standards Test (PST): You need to meet the medical and physical standards prescribed for CAPF service.
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification: Final selection depends on clearing your medical exam and having your original documents verified.

Your final selection depends on clearing all four stages — since there is no written exam, there is no separate written-marks merit list.
