Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI) is hiring a Project Assistant at its Regional Station in Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar. The engagement belongs to that project, and the notice identifies Pusa as the work location.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project duration: The English notice describes a two-year project, while the Hindi introduction mentions one year. The notice expressly says the English version takes priority if the versions differ.
• Contract status: Your appointment is temporary and ends with the project. You cannot use this engagement to claim a regular appointment at the institute.
• Working arrangement: This is full-time work. You must follow ICAR-IARI's administrative, financial and disciplinary rules while engaged at the regional station.
• Leave: Regular leave is not provided. The notice permits Casual Leave and Restricted Holidays up to a combined limit of 10 days per year.
• Joining: If selected, you must be ready to join immediately after the result is published. Keep this condition in mind if you currently have another commitment.
• Recruitment discretion: The institute may leave the position unfilled or cancel it even after the interview. An interview therefore does not by itself guarantee appointment.
• Honest disclosure: Hiding information or trying to influence recruitment can cancel your candidature, including after selection. You must also disclose any near or distant relative employed at ICAR or IARI.
• Travel costs: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. You need to arrange your visit at your own expense.
