Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract length: The notice sets a one-year engagement for ex-servicemen and an eleven-month engagement for civilians, subject to performance, other conditions and the maximum age applicable to the role.
• Officer-in-Charge reservation: These appointments are entirely reserved for ex-servicemen.
• Other reservation shares: Medical Officer appointments carry a 60% ex-servicemen and 40% civilian split. Dental Hygienist and Driver appointments carry a 70% ex-servicemen and 30% civilian split.
• Preference: Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and widows of service personnel receive preference.
• Joining condition: The notice's medical-officer training clause calls for a minimum ten-day handover and ten days of on-the-job training. Selected individuals must obtain a certificate from the polyclinic Officer-in-Charge before signing the contract. The training is unpaid and mandatory before taking charge.
• Travel: No travel or daily allowance is available for attending.
