NIA Jaipur Young Professional Veterinarian Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur — a deemed university and an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Ayush — is engaging a Young Professional (Veterinarian) on a purely contractual, full-time basis. The job sits in the institute's animal house, where you will look after the health and welfare of the animals used in its experimental research and keep the work in line with research ethics and regulatory rules.

The engagement follows the Ministry of Ayush guidelines for engaging Consultants and Young Professionals issued in April 2026, and you will be posted at NIA, Jorawar Singh Gate, Amer Road, Jaipur. Selection is through a single walk-in interview, so a fresh B.V.Sc & A.H. graduate who can reach Jaipur on the day has a direct shot at it.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Open-market candidates are engaged for three years at first, with an annual performance review. Retired government servants are engaged for one year, extendable by one more year on good performance.
• Assessment period: Your first three months from joining are treated as an assessment period.
• Extension: Continuing beyond the term depends on your performance, the institute's needs, availability of funds and approval of the competent authority.
• No regular job: The contract does not give you any right to regular appointment, absorption or continuation beyond the approved tenure.
• Notice period: Either side can end the contract with one month's written notice or one month's pay instead. The institute can end it immediately, without notice, for misconduct, false documents, breach of confidentiality or conflict of interest.
• Working hours: Hours match those of institute employees, and you may have to work beyond office hours without extra pay.
• Agreements: Before joining you sign a Contract Agreement and a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
• Leave, travel and tax: Leave and any duty TA/DA follow Ministry of Ayush guidelines, and income tax is deducted at source. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Institute's rights: NIA may shortlist if many people turn up, change the number of posts, or cancel the process without giving reasons.

Application Submission Notes

There is no online form. Report in person at the Committee Hall, NIA, Jaipur between 10 am and 11 am on the interview day. Anyone arriving after the reporting window will not be interviewed under any circumstances.

Carry your original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies of each.
