KGMU Senior Resident Nuclear Medicine Recruitment 2026: Overview

King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow is filling a Senior Resident seat in its Department of Nuclear Medicine through a short-term walk-in interview. The drive is run by the Office of the Medical Superintendent, Gandhi Memorial and Associated Hospitals (G.M. and A.H.), the teaching hospital group attached to the university.

The notice labels the post Senior Resident (Non-Medical), but the qualification it asks for is a postgraduate degree or diploma in Nuclear Medicine recognised by the Medical Council of India or the National Board of Examinations. This is a short-term residency, not a permanent faculty job, so it suits someone who has just finished a Nuclear Medicine PG and wants senior residency experience in a large Lucknow hospital. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Seat changes: The seat may change after further adjustment by DGME UP, Lucknow under the compulsory Govt. Service Bond (G.O. No. 950/71-2-82/2017 dated 7 March 2018), and the number of posts may go up or down at the interview.
• Pay rules: Pay and allowances follow KGMU's own rules.
• Affidavits at joining: If selected, you give two affidavits on Rs. 10 e-stamp paper (Annexures 1 and 2) covering your previous experience and your caste certificate.
• No private practice: Annexure 1 asks you to declare that you are not studying at any college or university and not running a private practice; if either turns out to be untrue, your selection is cancelled.
• Hospital dress code: You agree to wear the prescribed dress with a white apron on duty and to show your university-issued ID card whenever asked.
• Travel and cancellation: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview, and the Vice Chancellor may cancel the advertisement in part or whole without giving a reason.

Application Submission Notes

Download the application form attached to the notice on the KGMU website, fill it in and hand it over with self-certified document copies at the Office of the Medical Superintendent before the last date. The form's first field asks for your department choice; write Nuclear Medicine there.

Pay the walk-in fee by depositing it in the University Income Fund account at Indian Bank, KGMU, Lucknow (A/c 20229846433, IFSC IDIB000K656). On interview day, report to the Committee Hall, Medical Superintendent Office, G.M. and A.H., KGMU, Lucknow by 1:30 PM. Bring one set of photocopies of all certificates plus the originals for checking.
