ECHS Kasauli Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Station Headquarters Kasauli, under the Ministry of Defence, is recruiting staff for its polyclinics at Solan, Bilaspur and Ghumarwin. The notice covers management, medical, dental-support and transport appointments. Your contract terms depend on whether you join as an ex-serviceman or a civilian.
Posts and Disciplines
- Officer-in-Charge ECHS Polyclinic: appointments are available at Solan, Bilaspur and Ghumarwin.
- Medical Officer: appointments are at Bilaspur and Ghumarwin.
- Dental Hygienist: the appointment is at Ghumarwin.
- Driver: the appointment is at Solan.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract length: The notice sets a one-year engagement for ex-servicemen and an eleven-month engagement for civilians, subject to performance, other conditions and the maximum age applicable to the role.
- Officer-in-Charge reservation: These appointments are entirely reserved for ex-servicemen.
- Other reservation shares: Medical Officer appointments carry a 60% ex-servicemen and 40% civilian split. Dental Hygienist and Driver appointments carry a 70% ex-servicemen and 30% civilian split.
- Preference: Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and widows of service personnel receive preference.
- Joining condition: The notice's medical-officer training clause calls for a minimum ten-day handover and ten days of on-the-job training. Selected individuals must obtain a certificate from the polyclinic Officer-in-Charge before signing the contract. The training is unpaid and mandatory before taking charge.
- Travel: No travel or daily allowance is available for attending.

Officer-in-Charge: graduate. Medical Officer: MBBS. Dental Hygienist: Diploma in Dental Hygiene or Class I DH DORA course from Armed Forces. Driver: Class 8 or Class I MT Driver from Armed Forces with a civil driving licence.
