DDA Chief Legal Advisor Recruitment 2026: Overview
Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is continuing its recruitment for a Chief Legal Advisor through deputation. Personnel Branch-I has issued a further extension for the existing vacancy notice, and the attached original circular remains the basis for the appointment. If you are considering this move, read the extension together with the original notice and its application form.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Deputation period: The initial assignment lasts three years. DDA can extend it annually up to a total of five years, but an extension is not automatic.
- Early termination: DDA may end the assignment before the initial or extended period is complete. The deputation follows the Department of Personnel and Training terms cited in the circular.
- Substantive appointment: DDA considers your regular post and its substantive pay status. Show financial upgrades separately so they are not confused with the post you actually hold.
- Different pay systems: If your organisation uses a different pay structure, clearly identify the comparable Central Government structure in your application. This helps DDA assess your service position against the stated conditions.
- Parent organisation: If you are already on deputation, your parent cadre or department must forward your application. The form also asks for details of your existing assignment and any previous deputation.
- Complete applications: DDA will reject incomplete applications and will not accept applications received late. Your parent authority must confirm that the information you provide matches its records.
Application Submission Notes
Send your application through the cadre-controlling authority in your parent department using the prescribed bio-data format attached to the notice. The employer must also complete and countersign its certification section.

- Extension dated 12 October 2026: DDA has extended the application window again. The original vacancy notice and all its other terms continue to apply.

Regular degree in Law from a recognised university or equivalent, permitting registration at the Bar and appearance before courts. Officers dealing with legal affairs in Central/State Government, PSUs, semi-government, autonomous or statutory bodies must hold an analogous regular post or have 5 years of service in PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 7,600 or equivalent.
