AIIMS Kalyani Psychologist Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani is recruiting a Project Technical Support-III (Psychologist) for its Department of Psychiatry in West Bengal. The role belongs to Pathways to Resilience and Mental health (PARAM), a research project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Dr. Aniruddha Basu, Additional Professor of Psychiatry, leads the project at the Kalyani site.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project appointment: you will work under the ICMR project in the Psychiatry department, with AIIMS Kalyani handling your payroll.
• Short contract: the stated tenure runs until 31 October 2026. The appointment gives no right to a permanent post or a continued contract at AIIMS Kalyani or ICMR.
• Earlier closure: the contract ends automatically when the project finishes and may end sooner if the funding agency withdraws support.
• Joining: you should be ready to join immediately if selected.
• Full-time commitment: private practice of any kind is prohibited during this appointment. Institute conduct and discipline rules also apply to you.
• Leave: your leave follows the ICMR policy, including amendments made to that policy.
• Accommodation and travel: the institute will not provide a hostel or other accommodation. You must also cover your own interview travel, as no TA/DA is payable.
• Accurate information: false declarations or hidden material information can lead to disqualification or removal from service. Trying to influence recruitment can also disqualify you.
• Recruitment decisions: the competent authority can amend or cancel the notice. The selection committee's decision is final; disputes fall under the courts in Kolkata.
