National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous organisation under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, is hiring for Librarian Administration at its head office in New Delhi. This is a contractual engagement for the agency’s library and reference resources, covering both printed material and digital collections. NTA conducts entrance and fellowship examinations for higher education, and this role supports the information needs of its officers and staff.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: The initial engagement is for two years. An extension depends on your performance and the organisation’s needs, so continued service is not automatic.
• Appointment status: This contract does not give you a right to a regular appointment or absorption into NTA. Keep this distinction in mind when considering the opportunity.
• Confidentiality: Information you access at work must remain confidential. A breach can lead to immediate termination of the engagement.
• Recruitment discretion: NTA can leave the posts unfilled or cancel recruitment at any stage. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee that you will be called for an interview.
• Conduct and disputes: Canvassing can disqualify you. The Director General of NTA will make the final decision if a dispute arises.
• Accuracy: False or incomplete information can lead to cancellation of your application or appointment. The application declaration also allows NTA to check the particulars you provide.
