National Institute of Technology Durgapur (NIT Durgapur) is hiring a Project Associate-I for its Department of Electrical Engineering in Durgapur, West Bengal. The contractual role supports Grid Readiness for Electrical Vehicle (EV): Enablers and Technological developments (GREET), a collaborative research project led by IIT Kanpur and sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: The engagement can run only up to 10 June 2028. This is a project appointment with a fixed outer limit.
• Renewal: Your performance will be reviewed every six months. Continuation depends on a satisfactory review, and the principal investigator can end the appointment if your performance is unsatisfactory.
• Regular employment: Taking up this role gives you no claim to a regular appointment at NIT Durgapur.
• Joining: If selected, you are expected to join immediately after recruitment. Keep this expectation in mind when considering your availability.
• Travel support: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview.
• Conduct: Canvassing can lead to disqualification. Other engagement conditions follow NIT Durgapur rules.
