Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering, or an allied subject from a recognized university.
• Minimum Marks: You need at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks in your qualifying degree. This is relaxed to 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks for SC/ST candidates.
• Preferred Profile: GATE or NET qualified candidates, and those with relevant research experience or publications, will have an advantage during screening.
• Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply for this position.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA for the first and second year, as per DST or institute norms.
• From the third year onward, your fellowship goes up to Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA.
• Continuation of your fellowship depends on satisfactory performance, which is reviewed every six months.
• The project will also fund your travel for data collection trips, research meetings, and conferences whenever scheduled.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

NIT Durgapur will select the Junior Research Fellow through the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: The Principal Investigator will screen applications based on your qualification, marks, GATE/NET status, and research experience.
2. Online Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview. The date, time, and joining link will be shared by email, so check your inbox and the institute website regularly.
