MGUVV Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Mahatma Gandhi Udyanikee Evam Vanikee Vishwavidyalaya (MGUVV) is recruiting Deans, Assistant Professors and Assistant Librarians for its colleges in Chhattisgarh. This is a regular recruitment drive covering college leadership, subject teaching and library posts, with separate tenure conditions for Deans. The university is based at Sankra in Durg, but your appointment can be at its colleges and research stations elsewhere in the state.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Dean tenure: Appointment lasts up to five years or until superannuation, whichever comes first. If you join from another university, this appointment does not lead to absorption in MGUVV.
• Probation: The general service conditions prescribe three years of probation. Your service can end if you do not complete probation successfully, and confirmation follows university and state rules.
• Posting and transfer: You may be placed at any university horticulture college or research station. Transfers are not allowed before you finish probation; afterwards, the university can move you according to its administrative needs.
• Reservation: State reserved-category benefits depend on Chhattisgarh residence and recognition of your category under state rules. The notice also provides horizontal reservation for women and persons with disabilities. Your category cannot be changed after you enter it in the form.
• Pension: Appointments follow the New Pension Scheme adopted by the university from the Chhattisgarh government.
• Leaving service: You must give three months of notice, or the notice required by state rules. Without this, the stated condition calls for three months of salary in lieu, subject to those rules.
• Travel: You normally attend the interview at your own expense. SC and ST applicants can receive travel allowance under university rules.
• Recruitment decisions: MGUVV may change the advertised posts, leave posts unfilled or withdraw part or all of the recruitment. Appointments remain subject to the court case identified in the notice.
• Objections: You get seven days after the relevant list or score is uploaded to raise an online objection. Only evidence already uploaded with your application can support it; new supporting material is not accepted at that stage.
